Unique old cars now in Hanoi

The Tiger Rally 2008, a trans-Asia road show of antique cars, will not parade through Hanoi on March 28 as scheduled, but two unique old cars are now in Hanoi.

The trans-Asia tour of antique cars of famous brands like Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz, Citroen, Bentley, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Volvo was scheduled for February 28 to April 1. According to the plan, these cars were to pass through Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Bangkok and Phuket (Thailand), Vientiane (Laos) and Phnom Penh (Cambodia) before coming to Vietnam on March 28.

However, because of some reasons, these cars will not take to Hanoi streets so Hanoians will not have a chance to admire these unique cars, including a Rolls-Royce Phantom 1 dating back to 1928, a Jaguar XK120 from 1954, and a Lagonda M45 manufactured in 1933.

The appearance of two cars in this group, a 1935 Bentley Speed Six and a red Mercedes Benz 230SL, will attract many people who dont know much about antique cars.
