Buffet, buffet all July

The Nikko Hotel Hanoi is getting ready to launch a big promotion to highlight various specialties during July.

Firstly, the hotel has invited Philippe Striffeler, chef of the Nikko Hotel in San Francisco, to prepare a French and Californian dinner buffet from July 1 to 14.

Striffeler will take over the kitchen of La Brasserie Restaurant to dish up mushroom bread pudding, salmon with pineapple salsa and much more.

The buffet will be open from 6pm to 8pm every day and cost US$18++ per person, including draught beer and soft drinks.

After July 14, the restaurant will replace that dinner buffet with one of international seafood. The price will be US$16++, again inclusive of draught beer and soft drinks.

People who love Japanese food should plan for a lunch or dinner at Benkay Restaurant on the hotel's second floor on the weekends of July.

For the month-long Kyoto Food Fair, restaurant chef Shimizu will present traditional Kyoto cuisine, including pike conger and Kyoto vegetables.

The buffet every Saturday and Sunday will cost US$25++ for a family of two adults and a child.

And finally, going on since June 9 already, the first-floor Portraits Bar welcomes all football fans who want to watch the FIFA World Cup matches on a big screen.

For US$16++, each fan can have wine, draught beer, tea or coffee and snacks and win prizes at "Guess and Score" contests.
