Da Nang names good tourism service providers
The Da Nang Tourism Department has recognised 13 shopping and culinary service providers as meeting set standards in service quality.
This is the first time Da Nang has selected and declared the names of service providers that can meet set standards of service quality. Da Nang is the second location in the country, after HCM City, to recognise tourism service providers.
The selection was conducted by the Da Nang Tourism Department and the city Trade, Health Departments based on the Tourism Law with the consideration of the current tourism industry context. Therefore, the decision by Da Nang authorities will be valid throughout the country.
17 shopping and culinary points in Da Nang city have applied for recognition, and 13 of them have been recognised as meeting set standards. The 13 include 8 restaurants (Apsara, Kim Do, Truc Lam Vien, Pho Bien, Au Lac Viet, Pho 24 on Nguyen Van Linh street, Pho 24 on Tran Quoc Toan street, and Phuoc My 2), and five shopping places (Kieu gallery, XQ Embroidered Pictures, Phuoc Tien Seafood Processing Workshop, Nguyen Hung Stone Fine Arts, and Ngan Ha Company Ltd).
The recognition by the Da Nang Tourism Department will be valid for two years. The recognised establishments will be able to place ads on the website of the Da Nang Tourism Department, where tours can be introduced to domestic and foreign travellers.
The move by Da Nang authorities aims to select and support the establishments that can provide the best-quality services. This also helps create healthy competition among tourism service providers in the sea city of Da Nang, which owns one of the six most beautiful beaches on the planet.
Da Nang has become an attractive destination for tourists. The city big potentials for tourism will also be introduced at the CAExpo 2007, an international ASEAN-China trade fair to be held in Nan Ning, China from October 20-23, which Da Nang, representing Vietnam, will attend.
