French spring in Hanoian summer
From May 18 to June 18, the French Spring Art Festival will take place in Hanoi with various music, dance, movie, TV and fashion activities.
"French Spring festival will open on May 18 at the Museum of Ethnology, Nguyen Van Huyen road, with an exhibition on birth.
The exhibition will bring viewers from Vietnam to France, North Africa, Western Africa, and Reunion Island to discover the cultural and social diversity at the wonderful moment of the conception of every man.
The centre of the opening ceremony will be a music show by the trio Dai Lam Linh, which comprises song writer Ngoc Dai and two female singers, Lam and Linh. This is the first time audiences will have a chance to see an entire show by this group.
A European fashion show will be held on May 21 at the Vietnam Art Museum at 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi, with the participation of French designer Valérie Gregori McKenzie, Spain Laura and et Diego Cortizas, Italy Chula and Bianco Levrin and Vietnam Minh Trang.
After that, a fashion photo exhibition named Paris/Milano by two young photographers from France and Italy, Miqua and Max Salvaggio, will be held at 24 Trang Tien from May 22 to June 18.
Edgar Morin and educational philosophy is the title of a workshop on May 26 at the French Cultural Centre, 24 Trang Tien, Hanoi with presentations by Associate Professor Pham Khiem Ich, researcher Cao Viet Dung and writer Nguyen Ngoc. Edgar Morin, 87, is one of the leading French thinkers at present.
The French Cultural Centre monthly programme, Three Days Three Artists, will continue with Free Stage for +84 troupe at 6pm, May 27-29. Dancers of +84 troupe will perform to modern light effects accompanied by the piano.
A talk on visual arts will take place at 4pm, May 28.
œFrench Spring will last till the end of June with many other circus, concert, photo exhibition, dance shows, etc.
